Artspace creative arts centre was established in 2012 to provide adults with learning difficulties / disabilities with the opportunity to access accredited training towards gaining employment.
The organisation opened its doors in November 2012 as a community business, providing a realistic working environment for adults with learning difficulties / disabilities to avail of vocational training leading to employment.

Training
Training services at artspace are facilitated onsite by trained and dedicated staff. Training is person centred and needs led therefore Training is designed around the needs of the individual.
We work with the NorthWest Regional College to offer the following :-
NVQ qualifications in catering
Vocational training in our Hand Crafts and Cards workshop
CCea in Arts and Crafts
Barista Coffee Training
Essential Food Hygiene
Personal Progression Towards Employment
Customer Service
Health and Safety

Artspace operates community businesses, providing realistic working environments for adults with learning disabilities to avail of vocational training leading to employment/ voluntary placement:
Artspace Studio—offers 12 WTE Training places
Coffee Space —offer a further 4 WTE Training places
Referrals
We are happy to accept self referrals, referrals from key workers, i.e. LD community nurse, social worker.
